Nursing School Class of 2010

Today I attended my second nursing school orientation. I received a total of 12 books and they informed us that there are 3 more to come. I am really exited however the pile of book is quite overwhelming. They also told us our schedules as well. In order to fulfill my contract and keep my benefits with carondelet i need to work 24 hours a week. its not to bad just quite overwhelming. They also told just because we are in nursing school and cant work a lot (obviously) that they are giving us $77 a paycheck just to help us out. My contract states they will be pay for all nursing classes and even pay for an extra semester if we fail one, they will also pay 100% of books plus the supplemental books that we are free to keep and never return and they pay for an N-CLEX class to help us study for the boards. My end of the deal I have to work for carondelet 3 years as a nurse and that's not volunteering either and if I don't I owe them $15,000.

Please Please Vote for my baby!!!!!

I've entered a picture of Kiona dressed up as a sorceress on the goodhousekeeping website and I encourage all to vote at least once a day or more or whatever your schedule permits. Its a rough world out there when a poor a poor chinchilla has to compete with cats and dogs in costumes that can easily be bought in a pet store. I encourage all to vote for Kiona. on the website I'll post the link below I believe you have to do the pet war part till you get to her picture. If anybody finds an easier way let me know via comment. I think it will be awesome if she wins or at least beats some others. So please vote for my Baby she needs your support. P.S. Kiona's costume cannot be purchased it is an original creation inspired by her mom and grandma. Very tasteful and original I might add.

A Giant Tea Party

Yesterday a bunch of ladies met up at the Chantilly tea room to have a giant tea party, abou 20 people. It was so much fun we had so many choices of tea and we had lunch too. The lunch consisted of yummy scones and mini sanwhiches and various little dessert, all of which were very tasty. I highly recommend this little place for a good time with friends.

FINALLY!!! I have internet

I will Have to apologize for a huge delay in blogging. We were trying to get reasonable internet and had some problems doing so. Any other time I usually blog from work but they got smaart and blocked the website. In the meantime there was so much I missed out on blogging on. First off my mom just turned 50 july 23rd so we had a surprise bithday party for her in our dinky apartment. In which she was definitly surprised it was so awesome. She was able to blow out all 50 candles before we even got half way through the happy birthday song. In the pictures they appear to be very smokey due to all the candles Mom had to blow out. We had a delicious carrot cake with apricot mousse, homeade ice cream made by the Schwans and lots of other yummy snacks.

Kiona also had a party the following week her birthday is July 30th, she is now 2. This was a yummy potluck party, again in our dinky apartment. everyone had a blast even Kiona. Carl came all the way from Austrilia to wish Kiona a happy birthday. According to him Austrailians do crazy things too. Last but not least Rebecca, Brian, Jacob and I went tubing down the salt river which was also tons of fun.

Again my apologies for my lack of blogging. Hope this will suffice.

Happy 25th Mom and Dad

Today June 3rd 2008 my parents will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. I can't even comprehend how much time that is. Well 25 years is a quarter of a century, approximately 1,304 weeks, 9,128 days, 219,072 hours and 13144,320 minutes. Wow! that's along time to put up with someone and you don't even want to know how many seconds.
I'm pleased to say, even after all that time, I think they still love each other as proof by, the picture here. Congratulations Mom and Dad I'm so proud of you and glad to have such wonderful parents. I couldn't ask for better.

R.I.P. Myrna 1990-2008

Myrna Lesabre has entered into rest may 30th of 2008 in Tucson Arizona, as her internal components have failed to further pursue life. Myrna was created in 1990 in a Buick factory. She worked as a chauffeur taking people to work school vacations and wherever there destination involved. She had the ability to work with all ages races and all species of mammals including chinchillas. Her accomplishments in life are all very successful for a car of her type. Myrna was dependable all way to the end and never gave up no matter what the circumstances. She could withstand the worst of weather and the steepest of hills. Myrna survived by her many cousins, Reatta, Lesabre, Silverado and Bonneville to name a few. Not to mention her many friends as well. Myrna Abstained from marriage to therefore pursue her career. She felt traveling so much may jeopardize a marriage. For this cause she sacrificed the chance of ever pursuing a family. In Myrna's final three years She resided with Lila and Kiona. Myrna took them wherever they needed to go. She was very supportive of Lila's nursing career as she she drove her to school for supplemental classes for her nursing degree. She also aided Lila to work to make money to pay for this school as well as support Kiona. Myrna loved Kiona endlessly as she volunteered to take her anywhere providing Kiona with the coolest of air conditioning. Even in her last days Myrna specifically Requested to be an organ donor as she has exact matches for her cousin Reatta. Myrna's life could be summed up of a life of sacrifice to do whatever she could for others.

Needless to say Myrna will be greatly missed by her friends and family. There is no doubt that there will be tears of mourning. We all will hold a special place for Myrna in our hearts and never forget her benevolence.

Myrna's crushing service is yet to be announced due to the fact she is an organ donor.

The way boring life I have.

I again apologize to all my loyal listenners about the pause of my blog writing, however I couldn't think of anything exciting to blog about. Its all about studyng for finals and working. So..... to share the boredom I am blogging some pictures of my textbook that may seem very exiting to everybody else except for me. Right now I'm preparing for a final on the following systems of the human body: blood, lyphatic, urinary reproductive, cardiovascular, digestive and endocrine. So.. Anybody have some advise let me know. Then I have a week off of school and I am cramming a chem 130 class that usually a semester long, into 1 month. So I have no life.

Kiona is doing good. She got sassy with her Grandma, Was horrible for the babysitters and got into the box of raisins. However, she is quite adorable and I can't stop loving her. I posted some pics of her getting into the raisins and one of my my mom trying sushi for the first time. Well this is all for now I'm blogging from work and don't want to get in trouble. ooops!
P.S. The pics are off my phone which explains why the quality isn't fantastic.

"Keeping blogs safe from tampering by never, never letting anyone know your password."

Well apparently when you don't blog there are those out there that blog for you. I still have yet to do some investigational research to figure out the culprit of this matter. Now the truth of the matter is that I've been very very busy and have not had a chance to blog. Life is swell I did not give Kiona away the thought of it made me cry. I love her so so much and I think she knows she did something very bad because she has been behaving ver well lately, in fact she has been waking me up all night on the night that she is out to give me lots of kisses its kind of sweet. Around easter i got her some baboo baskets to chew up and she loved them. We also went to visit Devin and she snuggled up next to him it was so sweet. Rebecca and I have started a hiking club every tues at 5:00am. Its pretty fun. School is ok. We are learning about the digestive, respiratory and lympahtic systems currently. Work is alright the other day I ruptured a 3 year ols eardrum and felt terrible. The doctor had asked me to irrigate the ear because she could not see the eardrum for the wax well the little bit of water pressure caused the eardrum to burst and blood started running out. I ran and got the doctor and she said the ear must have been infected so much that it was gonna burst anyways but I still felt really bad. The good new is that tempanic membranes (eardrums) can grow back.

Well enough for now. Again thanks to all my loyal listeners especially the ones that make up stories if i don't have any.

NEWS FLASH!!!

We interrupt this regularly updated blog with "happening right now" news!! Reports strongly indicate that Lila McCrone was last seen being spirited away in a UFO, presumably for outer space beings to perform diabolical experiments on her! This explains her recent silence... We have high hopes that the abducting aliens are just wanting her to make them some jam.

Stay tuned for our next story: "Keeping blogs safe from tampering by never, never letting anyone know your password."

Free chinchilla to a good home!

Anyone looking for a nice sweet docile chinchilla? Kiona is perfect for you. She is a sweet grey colored softer than velvet chinchilla. She is nearing the age of two on July 31st. Mind you chinchillas can live for 20 years. She happens to be very friendly at night when she is awake due to her nocturnal behavior. Kiona is wonderful with children as well as adults. She hates rainy days, halloween costumes, vegtables and pinon nuts. She loves almonds, raisins, peanuts, dust baths, her mom and chew toys. She also loves to chew up my window blinds,my flip flops,my printer buttons, my laptop cable, (which is why my computer is not working now), my new oak bed and whatever else she can get her teeth on which is practically everything! For this reson I have to blog from work and my phone because Kiona is the reason why my computer won't work. Take a close look at the teeth picture and let me know how such small teeth can cause a world of damage. I will be allowing interviews to give me some good ideas of prospective parents for her. P.S. she does give kisses and will wake you up for school by crying if you are running late. P.P.S.Interviews are mandatory.

From grapes to yummy Jelly

A couple of weeks ago for my birthday my little sister and mom and Dad bought me an awesome power juicer. So I found some grapes on sale and juiced them and then froze the juice. Yesterday my mon and I thawed the juice and made some jelly with it. We ended up making tons of jelly and ran out of pectin and sugar before we ran out of juice! We made grape jelly and grape cranberry jelly and they they turned out awesome. The color in the pictures doesn't look quite like normal grape jelly colored however, I realized I had used red grapes instead of concord grapes but it still tastes fantastic. Oh yeah I learned two things yesterday, doubling the recipe does not ruin it and liquid pectin is awesome! In case anybody need to know.

Rebecca the vampire in training

Today was a very exiting day in the Rebecca and Lila household. We made blueberry jam, it was quite delicious, went to meeting, then went to sprouts for more blueberries and saw cour and Melanie and their adorable children, then came home. When we got home Rebecca was sighing on her lack of experience drawing blood. So I lent her my special pencil! Just kidding. I did even worse I volunteered to be one of her patients! It was kind of funny because we used our bathroom for the alleged doctor office. Rebecca had a hard time getting the guts enough to stick her best friend with an 20 gauge needle. However, she managed to do so perfectly. I have to say I was nervous myself. We both were laughing so hard it was funny. She did a perfect job without even blowing my vein. I don't know, she did a good job drawing blood and she does happen to work the night shift maybe she really is a vampire.
P.S. We saved my tube of blood in our refrigerator in case anybody wants to see what a good job she did.

Kiona's First Valentines Day Party

Today Petco the pet store hosted a valentines day pet party. So, my little outgoing Chinchilla wanted to go so I called out in celebration of the event. Well actually I'm getting over a nasty virus too.(I think my computer gave it to me). Anyways this party was free for all pets. There were a picture booth, pawprint booth and a decorate a valentine cookie for your pet booth! However, the cookies I think were only edible to dogs. So in respect to Kiona's strict chinchilla diet we did not participate in that one. To make a long story short Kiona as tired as she was let everybody pet her and love her. One little girl told me that she [Kiona] was so cute she just wanted to snuggle her up and take her home. Later Kiona got her pawprint done and a picture of us taken. Before the picture the employees handed out cute little pink barrets so I clipped one to Kiona's hair she looked so cute. The picture turned out well but I took a picture of a picture from my phone and thats whats on the blog. Sorry, This pic does no justice to the original.I might get some copied and mail some out. Anyways it was a fun party its even funnier to see how other people are just as crazy about their pet as I am. For example the lady behind me had a cute cat all dressed up in a pink dress with a pink collar and a pink bow. So I told her "Oh she is so cute" meaning the cat of course. And she proceeded to pipe back that her cat was a boy and I said "oh I'm sorry I was just judging by the Pink dress". She told me that her cat really likes pink. Come on people please if its not a boy Don't put him in a dress especially a pink one! It confuses everybody! to say the least it was fun and as always everybody loved Kiona. She was certainly a celebrity being the only chinchilla and not to mention how adorable she was.

I'm Going to Smash my computer!

My computer is absolutely going to drive me crazy! It only goes on the internet when it wants to and it sometimes recognizes my internet card! So when I really want to use it the most it acts retarded and when I least expect it to work it works! I have ran so many virus and spyware tests its phenominal and just when I am about to call my computer doctor it decides to work like a champ! uhh its so frustrating that one day I will smash it ! (I hope you are not listening sweet little computer!) It did recently find a trojan virus however but it locked it up in virus jail so I don't know whats wrong. Anyways not much more exiting than that.

Its snowing in Tucson!

So today hanging out at my apartment with my roomate we heard a loud raining noise so we ran out and it was hailing and then began to snow. Later I ran back to grab Kiona to show her snow but she got snowed on and started to shiver. The first thing she did after I brought her back in was sit under my lamp to de-thaw. I don't think she liked it. The only pic I have is the one off my phone of Rebeccas car so don't critique the quality. Its so crazy this is Tucson!

P.S. I'm not sure how kosher it is to blog twice in one day?

Kiona Goes to pre-school

The other day Kiona made another milestone in her young Life, she went to her first day of preschool before age two. Ok I know i know there really aren't pre-schools for chinchillas but you know if there were Kiona would be in the best private school there was. Anyways Kiona was really just a victim of a mystery box presentation sort of simular to show and tell. To say the least Kiona was said to be the best mystery box ever! She was so adorable (despite the fact she was extremely crabby from waking her up.) She let every kid hold her and the they put her on the floor and she hopped to every kids lap. It was so cute! When it was all said and done I went to put her back in her carrier and she bit neck probably out of spite for waking her up, however I didn't care. When she got home she instantly snuggled back in bed and was later rewarded with new toys and lots of treats.

Bye for now! oh apparently my computer works now. It ended up finding a trojan Virus! -Lila-

Computer Problems!

So apparently my computer broke and I took it to its handy dandy computer Doc. Well what do you know there were 43 different bad cookies and spyware on it. So after deleting all of those my computer was working just fine till I brought it home. Then I went to blog Kionas first day of Preschool pics and it won't let me go on the internet just like before so its off to the doctor again. So when my computer finally gets fixed i'll blog the adorable pics of Kiona.

School Work and everything else!

So I'm still figuring out this blogger thing so lets see if I actually get it to post. Anyways i'm back in school much to my dismay, and the first day one of my teachers proceeds to tell us that the class I'm in is probably the hardest class that the school offers. WOW! does it get any better than that? So I went ahead and narrowed down my fate for the end of the semester. Pass or Fail. Work is good I guess its paying the bills.
Kiona is wonderfull except for the chewed up lap top cable. Before I left for WA she was under some intense training and I was afraid that since she had been at Grandmas she would forget it but she hasn't. Her training involves after running around all iht in my room, instead of me chasing her she will just go back to her cage on her own. Well for the past 3 days I have woke up and she is snuggled up asleep in her cage. I was so proud of her. I'll have to post some pics soon. Well Gotta go.

Lila Starts a Blog.

Lila has finally given into the many demand from the public to start a blog and post photos of her very interesting life.

Lila lives independantly, and much to the suprise of everyone, seems to be doing well. She has a full time steady job as a patient care technition in a major hospital emergency center, and yet has managed to get stellar grades. Lila's co-workers enjoy working with her, and she is often noted as a favorite by her patients.

Lila is the devoted Mother to an 18 mth old daughter, Kiona. At first glance, Kiona, a chinchilla, seems to be pieces and parts of other animals: rat, mouse, squirrel, gerbil, and monkey. After the initial shock however, Kiona really is a cute lil' thing. Kiona is very smart, curious, and busy. She likes to chew books, cords and wood.

Lila is currently visiting her favorite cousin in Washington. Lila adores this cousin, and her four cousinlettes. Lila likes rain, cheesecake, sheets and socks.

Please don't hold Lila's warped sense against her. It is genetic.

This introduction to the life and adventures of Lila was written, mostly in truth, by her beloved cousin.
